Chris was jogging in the village when he decided to set up a football Academy on a dust village school pitch in Bumala, Busia County. This was after seeing kids loitering during school time and playing with improvised balls (made of paper & tied with threads) after school. Seeing the immense raw talent in just two communities, he has set on a journey to transform the lives of all marginalized kids in Kenya through football.
A retired footballer at a tender age of 20 due to injury, he set out to change the lives of kids who lack opportunity to access education and football at a higher level by giving them a chance to play in a standard football atmosphere and ensuring they get education. This has been done by enabling the kids to play in soccer boots from bare feet and availing modern football equipment and instilling skills to the kids. Chris wants to transform The Dreams Alive Foundation into a multi-million dollar center of excellence in Kenya to produce world class players and student athletes to benefit from scholarships in international universities. His dream is to ensure self-sustainability among marginalized kids at the grassroots level in Kenya through football that will create pathways for socio-economic empowerment as well as eradicate crime & drugs, eliminate early pregnancy and marriage, do away with child labor and increase school graduation rates . Since 2016, he has been on a journey of availing higher education opportunities and creating the right football networks ensuring some of our kids get the platform in the near future.
