Building a transformed society free from violence, inequality, and poverty through grassroots empowerment.

Founded in 2015, DREAMS Alive Foundation (DAF) is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering adolescents and young people, children, and underserved communities across Kenya.
We believe in the power of community-led solutions and youth-centered approaches to create lasting change. Our work is rooted in dignity, justice, and opportunity for all.
A transformed society free from violence, inequality, and poverty where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
To holistically expand access to education, health, protection, and livelihood opportunities for adolescents and young people, children, and communities through community-rooted, youth-led programs.
Chris Onyango — Founder & Executive Director

“When we started DREAMS Alive Foundation in 2015, we had a simple but powerful vision: to create a world where every young person, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to dream and achieve those dreams. Growing up in Busia County, I witnessed firsthand the challenges that adolescent girls, young women, and children face – from limited access to education and healthcare to gender-based violence and economic hardship.”
“What drives me every day is the belief that sustainable change happens from within communities. Our approach is not about imposing solutions from the outside, but about empowering communities to identify their own needs and lead their own transformation. Through our Football for Development program, educational support initiatives, health services, and nutrition programs, we've seen thousands of young people discover their potential and become agents of change.”
“I am deeply grateful to our dedicated team, our partners, and most importantly, to the communities we serve who trust us to walk alongside them. Together, we are not just nurturing dreams – we are transforming lives and building a future where every young person can thrive with dignity, opportunity, and hope.”
